Calling all fanfic writers

Just a quick and rather odd question regarding fanfics.

Long story short, I have a fic I want to rewrite. It's been online for 2 years and the plot hasn't even got going yet - it's essentially limped along all this time.

I've recently come up with a way to competely redo it, getting it much closer to the original tone and style I wanted, while still having it head towards the same main plot I'd originally planned.

So the question is - do I upload the new chapters as replacements for the old chapters, and hope everyone comes back and reads the new versions? Or do I simply delete the story - and all it's reviews - and create a new story with the same title and have a completely fresh start?

Just wanted to say that I read that article and agreed with most of it. I would prefer to see any female character properly dressed in say full plate mail to use an example if she was going off to war. Or decent robes that that looked awesome without being fanservicey if she was a mage. See the psijic robes in Skyrim(I really wish those were available to the player)

That said is it possible to have a beautiful female or male character that isn't over sexualized?

I'd like to think Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII is a decent example and I'm sure there are others.
