Kelly has an awful rep within the Mass Effect community. Due in all likelihood to her openness to relationships with aliens of all species, she's often portrayed as the fandom bicycle. Personally, I think she's a great character who really should have been given more development.

Unfortunately, given that she can die in ME2, it's unlikely that this will happen in ME3. Still, we can hope.

So here's my little show of support for Kelly Chambers - quite possibly Mass Effect's most underrated character.

I agree with you. People tend to forget that her job as an 'unofficial" psychologist that only the CO and XO know about requires her to have a friendly disposition. Still, her lap dancing for both male and a female Sheppard doesn't really help her reputation.

I like Kelly a lot, apparently she is the only person with psychology degree on the Normandy, and I think that was the main reason why TIM assigned her to Shepard. Her commander just rise from death, and have to stand against unknown powerful enemy who's kidnapping colonies and probably work for the Reapers. There is no one who can just comeback to senses after being assaulted and spaced in the vacuum for death, without traumas to overcome. Despite game Shep's behaviour like nothing had happened. The crew also work in big stress all the time. The boss wanted to be sure nothing goes wrong with the mission, so I'm imagining Kelly was really busy talking to everyone about their problems and fears.

And of course I love the textures and Kelly's face expression. She looks very kind and compassionate.

Despite all the jibes about scale-itch, Kelly is quite possibly the kindest character in ME2, in and out of the Normandy. :) She's caring, compassionate, tolerant, yet she just scores crap from the fans because she's 'threatening' the shipping... To tell the truth, I can't bear to see Kelly liquified in the Collector base, because that would leave the Normandy with a bunch of emotionally scarred soldiers, a sarcastic pilot and a dead-dry AI. :P

I totally agree with you, Kelly is a great character! :) And seriously, I am sure she wouldn't "fuck" a varren, because it's not humanoid or sapient or whatever... GO KELLY! :thumbsup:

I agree completely. Being a warm and loving person who's open to a variety of different romances doesn't make you a whore. I absolutely adore Kelly. I hope she'll at least be around in ME3. The Normandy would feel a lot emptier without her mediating my communications. <3

Beautiful work here! She looks lovely.

The only downpart of her character are the messages announcement she throws at you without being asked.
Had they not included that, I think she'd be a more liked character.
Although I find her cute.

Didn't Tali and Garrus become romance options because a lot of people wanted that and kept pestering Bioware? Maybe if us Kelly fans did the same, they'd get a clue and make her a full fledged romance option for ME3. As you said, we can hope.

Love her, though. Underrated to the core. And that "scale itch" crap is old as dirt. If anything, I blame Grunt.
